Champa Catering & Events – Online Order Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Champa Catering & Events! To ensure the best experience for every customer, please review the following Terms & Conditions before placing your order.
By placing an order on order.champacatering.com, you agree to these terms.
1. Scope of Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern orders placed through our online portal (order.champacatering.com), which includes:
- A) Prepared Food Delivery (including Standard Catering and Box Lunches)
- B) Merchandise
Please note: Full-service catering, event planning, and standalone rental contracts are subject to a separate agreement and terms. Please contact us directly at info@champacatering.com for these services.
2. Prepared Food & Delivery Terms
This section applies only to prepared food orders.
2.1. Service Area Delivery for prepared food is strictly limited to addresses within Salt Lake County, Utah. Orders placed for delivery outside this area will be automatically canceled and refunded.
2.2. Order Information When placing a food order, you will be required to provide the following information at checkout:
- Delivery Date
- Delivery Time Slot
- Event Date This information ensures accurate scheduling and coordination for your catering needs.
2.3. Delivery Fee A 5% delivery fee will be automatically applied to all prepared food orders. This fee covers transportation, fuel, and handling logistics within our service area.
2.4. Order Deadlines & Changes
- Standard Catering Orders (Trays, Buffets, etc.):
- We recommend placing your order at least 72 hours in advance of your event.
- For large orders (over 50 guests), at least 7 days’ notice is appreciated.
- Changes to catering orders must be submitted in writing (via email) at least 48 hours prior to the delivery date. Late changes may not be accommodated.
- Box Lunch Orders:
- Availability: Box Lunches may be available for same-day or next-day delivery, subject to kitchen capacity and daily cut-off times as listed on the ordering page.
- Advance Orders: Box Lunch orders may be placed up to 7 days in advance.
- Changes: Same-day and next-day Box Lunch orders are considered final once placed. Changes to advance Box Lunch orders must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to delivery.
2.5. Cancellations & Refunds (Food Orders)
- Standard Catering Orders:
- Orders canceled at least 5 days prior to the delivery date are eligible for a full refund.
- Orders canceled less than 5 days in advance may be subject to a partial refund or store credit, at our discretion.
- Box Lunch Orders:
- Same-day and next-day Box Lunch orders are considered final upon placement and are not eligible for a refund.
- Advance Box Lunch orders (placed 2+ days out) must be canceled at least 24 hours prior to the delivery time for a full refund.
- All Food Orders:
- No refunds will be issued for no-shows or cancellations made on the scheduled day of delivery.
2.6. Food Handling & Allergies
- Once delivered, all food becomes the responsibility of the customer. It must be properly stored and served at safe temperatures.
- Please notify us of any dietary restrictions or food allergies when placing your order. While we strive to accommodate all needs, we operate in a commercial kitchen and cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.
3. Merchandise Terms
This section applies only to merchandise (e.g., apparel, non-food items).
3.1. Shipping Merchandise can be shipped anywhere. Shipping is not limited to our food delivery service area.
3.2. Shipping Fees Shipping costs for merchandise are separate from the food delivery fee. Shipping fees will be calculated at checkout based on the order details and destination.
3.3. Refunds & Returns (Merchandise) All merchandise sales are considered final. If an item arrives damaged or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us at info@champacatering.com within 7 days of receipt for a resolution.
4. Rental Items & Setup (If Applicable)
- If your online order includes rental items (e.g., chafing dishes, serving utensils), you are responsible for their return in clean, undamaged condition as specified in the item description or order details.
- Setup services are available by request for an additional fee and must be arranged and confirmed in advance.
5. Liability & Force Majeure
- Champa Catering & Events is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, such as extreme weather, accidents, natural disasters, or third-party carrier delays.
- For food orders, we are not liable for any incidents arising after delivery, including (but not limited to) allergic reactions or issues from improper food handling or storage by the customer or guests.
